Why Givv Uses the SDGs as the Eligibility Criteria for Non-profits?

January 21, 2019 |

The SDGs were approved in 2015 by nearly 200 countries under the auspices of the United Nations and it is a widely used framework for international development and impact investment. It has 17 core areas, that encompasses virtually every area of international development, from climate change to extreme poverty. Importantly, despite governments agreeing to such goals, there is an acute shortage of funding.

In using such a framework, Givv positions itself as an innovative funding solution to closing the financing gap for this set of global priorities and reduces marketing costs in explaining its model. The SDG framework, for being widely used, also facilitates the categorization of non-profits and facilitates the matchmaking between individuals supplying idle capacity and their causes.
